I invite you to indulge me in providing a themed post on Swansea in Wales. Thanks to Wikipedia for the public domain photos and to our talented friend, Don Wright, for creating the original piece of music, writing the lyrics and being the musician as well. I hope you enjoy this presentation. Just click on the song title, Swansea Bay, to hear the song. Relax and enjoy the journey.
When I was a boy I used to roam
Through the hills above my homeUp there on a clear day
See the vista of Swansea Bay
Summer’s day, we’d go down
To that ugly lovely town
Lying there on the stretching sand
Seemed to me it was the promised land
Sittin at the Slip, lookin over the foam
See the cliffs at Ilfracombe
And I was looking, looking to see
Was there anyone over there really staring back at me
I was searching for a sighting of the man that I would be
But I never saw anyone looking back at me
Came up from down under, been many a day
Finally did wend the Cornish wayAnd as we stood on Devon’s down
Gazed across the water at Swansea town
Saw the valley of my home
Saw the hills I used to roam
Heard the laughter, felt the tears
Echoing back across the years
And I was looking, looking to see
Was there anyone over there really staring back at meI was searching for a glimpse of the boy I used to be
Saw him clearly for an instant, but he never saw me
Speeding back along Severn’s shore
Reminiscing, days of yore
Setting sun wrapped up the day
As we headed west for Swansea Bay

How do I get in on these weekly photo challenge posts?… I got pictures!
Hi! Just put a tag on your post saying Weekly Photo Challenge – and topic of the week. I usually put Weekly Photo Challenge in the title as well.
Wordpress (The Daily Post at WordPress) usually put out a new topic each Friday. I really enjoyed reading your blog and I am now following.

Thanks… and okay… so it’s a WordPress thing. Got it. Well do I need to go somewhere to post my humble photo… or just use the theme as target to blog to on my own page? Thanks in advance for helping the handicapped… 😉
Got it! Thanks…
I look forward to seeing your photos!
