Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a child. What became of it?
When I was a little girl my Uncle gave me this jewellery box. I have treasured it ever since. It is a bit old and battered now but I couldn’t part with it. It used to have a ballerina who performed a circular dance to the music. There was a key underneath the box for winding up the music. Her image was reflected in the mirrors and I was enthralled. Unfortunately I have lost the ballerina but the music still plays π
cheers

Thanks for the like on the tribute to Cleo. I like your post of your jewelry box with the missing ballerina.
I had one of those too, but mine was square and lacquered.
I have seen square ones like the one you mention. Precious π
And shaped like a piano! Wonderful, I would have loved something like that.
It is not too late to treat yourself π
Its a very nice memory of your Uncle
I was very fond of him. He passed away in 2010 but I have lots of happy memories π
