Often our blogs have taglines. But what if humans did, too? What would your tagline be?
My tagline would say…“will do no harm” or “means well”
People jump to conclusions about us all the time and no doubt I am as guilty as the next person. Consistently people tell me that I am different to what they first thought. I think my shyness comes across as being conservative and that puts some people on the defensive. I am actually a fairly quiet person and much more comfortable in a one to one situation than in a group.
I am a strong believer in the saying “live and let live”. I don’t expect others to believe the same as I do or live as I do. I respect others’ right to live their lives as they choose and hope they will accord me the same opportunity.
I met my husband online nearly ten years ago. In my profile I said something like “it takes a while to get to know me but it is worth the effort”. He stuck around so there you go 🙂
cheers
Lorraine
PS Emus don’t need taglines 🙂

What a lovely little snippet about how you met your husband, and I’m very pleased he stuck around
Thanks – I am pleased too!
I like your explanation of tagline. It is strange to know about someone else like me.I also take time to warm up to a person.I am very quiet initially,,this sometimes gives a wrong impression to people who don’t know me.Their first reaction is,’She is a very proud person’,often in reply I said,’Why will I be proud?’ But then as you said,’you live and learn’,it is so true.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. It is true that people can misunderstand us if they don’t take the time to get to know who we really are. I can see that you understand what I mean 🙂 thanks
Most people underestimate the amount of time it takes to get to know someone else . . . after all these years, I’m still getting acquainted with the “real ME.”
Ah yes … but if an Emu did need a tagline I wonder what it would be 🙂 I was a little late in adding my two cents to this topic – but had to finally jump in. Cheers!
Thanks for visiting. Nice to meet you 🙂
