I have written few posts recently about a book about being in the flow. I have finished reading it now but I have noticed my dreams are being more lucid – meaning that I know that I am dreaming and can actually direct what happens in my dreams.
It is a wonderful experience that has happened to me a few times in the past. It is not something I can manufacture. I suspect that the process of trying to understand more about how my mind works has something to do with tapping into this amazing gift.
I also believe that when we are ready to learn new things, the opportunities are there for us.
Wow, Lorraine… lucid dreams. Wish I had them. Maybe I ought to read this book!
Thanks Eric. I don’t know what prompts the lucid dreams – wish I could bottle it. I first experienced them at the time I was doing a 10 week course called Philosophy of the Mind. It taught some of the basic principles of mindfulness.
I have occasionally been able to influence my dreams, normally by able to fly out of trouble, but that rare, or even remembering my dreams these days
Thanks Peter. Interestingly, since I started wearing a mask for sleep apnea I am able to remember my dreams much more clearly. I think that maybe the quality of our sleep influences our dreams 🙂
Wow, lucky you!. If I had that ability I would go over to Scarlett Johansson’s house every night in my dreams. Of course, all we would do is have nice chats over tea and biscuits.
