I have tomatoes, silver beet, two varieties of parsley, potatoes and a watermelon plant growing in my above ground garden bed. I also have some plants in pots that belong to my son, Joel. I am only looking after them short-term. I gave up trying to have a nice water feature and decided to plant some petunias instead :-). There is a range of herbs growing in the stand. I don’t use them as much as I could as I grew up only knowing how to use mint and parsley. I experiment from time to time π
At first glance I thought this read “…I also have some pot plants that belong to my son, Joel.” And I thought… π
I read it the same way. I was ready to book a flight to Australia to go and visit Lorraine for a bit!
Sorry to disappoint you Tony π
I just shared a link with Eric that may be of interest to you as well.

Thanks. I added it to my iPhone podcast subscriptions.
Wow, Lorraine. I could get lost in those podcasts. Very tempting. I’ll have to bookmark the site and ration a listen every now and then. Thank you for identifying and sharing them!
Oregano goes well in casseroles and basil mixed with tomatoes, feta and a drizzle of olive oil makes a great summer salad. Your thyme looks great; wish we could get ours to look like that! We’ve been harvesting cherry tomatoes for the last month and will continue to harvest more for at least another few weeks. This summer has produced a bumper crop!
Thanks for the tips for the other herbs. The tomatoes, feta, olive oil and basil sounds yummy! It must be a good year for tomatoes – the fresh ones taste so different to the shop ones too π
I am happy to know you are growing potatoes and tomatoes. the plants are healthy.
That brought back some memories. Sadly, I do not have a garden now, but I used to grow a lot of my own vegetables and such I know how satisfying that is. I hope you have a lovely 2015
Thanks Peter. Wishing you a happy and successful 2015 and I hope your writing continues and your books sell π
