My Uncle Roy had a life-long interest in steam engines. He is photographed here in his early 90’s getting this particular steam engine running. He belonged to a group called the Border FlyWheelers in Barham, NSW and he was by far the oldest member. However, he was the ONLY member that had his “boiler ticket” that allowed him alone to operate the machinery. I don’t know how they manage since he passed away in 2010. An inspiration and mentor to me in many ways.

I like the photo, Rainee. 🙂
It’s good to have interests . . . even if the odds are against us.
